I. Facility Introduction 

National Facility for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NFEES) can provide a variety of advanced research tools in the field of earthquake engineering, such as large-size and large-load earthquake engineering simulation tests, seismic-wave current coupling tests, multi-point and multi-dimensional seismic differential simulation tests, and high-performance visualization and digital simulation. NFEES can provide extreme research methods for major projects to resist natural disasters and reduce disaster risks, provide technical support for ensuring the safety of major projects. The facility was accepted on November 5th, 2024, and started operating.

II. Recruitment Plan

1. Recruitment Majors

Civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, ship and ocean engineering, transportation engineering, mechanics, control science and engineering, instrument science and technology, electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and technology, geophysics, and related majors.

2. Recruitment Positions

Chair Professors, Talent Professors, Talent Associate Professors (Distinguished Research Fellows), Associate Research Fellows, Postdoctoral Fellows (Assistant Research Fellows), Engineers.

3. Application Requirements

Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, be physically and mentally healthy, and have good ideological and moral qualities and moral cultivation. For those applying for teaching and research positions such as Chair Professors, Talent Professors, Talent Associate Professors, Associate Research Fellows, and Postdoctoral Fellows, a doctoral degree is required, and they should be outstanding talents at home and abroad who have achieved remarkable academic achievements in relevant disciplinary fields and the research directions of the facility and have good development potential. For those applying for the position of Engineers, a master's degree or above is required, along with a professional knowledge background in engineering.

4. Position Responsibilities

(1) Chair Professors

Accurately grasp the development direction of the field of earthquake engineering, put forward research concepts that are strategic, forward-looking, and creative, and lead the facility to catch up with or maintain the international advanced level in the frontier fields. Be committed to improving the overall quality and research level of teachers and actively cultivate and introduce outstanding talents.

(2) Talent Professors

Have a relatively high teaching level, possess the experience or ability to cultivate high-quality top-notch innovative talents, complete all teaching tasks stipulated by the school and the college, conduct in-depth teaching research and reform, and achieve outstanding teaching results. Have an independent research direction in line with the research directions of the facility, be able to lead the facility to serve the major needs of the country's economic and social development, and be able to lead the facility to carry out academic research at the international advanced level. Play an important role in facility construction, discipline construction, talent introduction, and international cooperation, and promote the facility to become a world-class earthquake engineering science center.

(3) Talent Associate Professors

Have a relatively high teaching level, possess the experience or ability to cultivate high-quality top-notch innovative talents, complete all teaching tasks stipulated by the school or the college, conduct teaching research and teaching reform, and achieve good teaching results. Engage in high-level scientific research, with the research direction in line with the development needs of the facility, perform outstandingly in relevant fields at home and abroad and be recognized by peer experts. Play an active role in facility construction, discipline construction, talent introduction, and international cooperation, and actively promote the facility to conduct extensive cooperation with internationally renowned universities and famous research institutions.

(4) Associate Research Fellows

The research direction is in line with the development needs of the facility, and certain academic achievements have been made in the research field, with good academic development potential. Focus mainly on scientific research work, actively participate in facility construction, discipline construction, and corresponding administrative work, participate in high-level international academic conferences in the research field and other forms of international academic exchange activities, and actively undertake and participate in national, provincial, and municipal science and technology projects. In principle, they should have two years or more of postdoctoral work experience.

(5) Postdoctoral Fellows (Assistant Research Fellows)

The research direction is in line with the development needs of the facility, and they have good academic development potential. They are mainly engaged in basic research, applied research, and administrative work related to facility construction.

(6) Engineers

Have experience in the operation and maintenance of large equipment related to the Large Earthquake Facility and the management of high-level test operations. They are mainly engaged in the installation, operation, and acceptance of facility equipment, as well as equipment maintenance, fault emergency handling, and simple fault repair during the equipment operation period. They also make overall arrangements for laboratory safety management.
